Types of EV Charging Stations
AC Charging Stations- Level 2 station
AC charging stations offer dependable, all-purpose charging for longer charging sessions. AC charging stations are mostly common at corporate offices, multifamily residences, and sports arenas. Level 2 chargers typically charge by the hour.
DC fast charging stations- Level 3 charging station
DC charging stations (also known as Direct Current Fast-Chargers) are most ideal for industrial and commercial settings such as retail businesses and rest area stops. They use a 480 Volt system and can add up to 250 km of range per each hour charged. This type of charging stations provides high-power charging for shorter charging sessions. Typically, 80% of EV’s battery can charge in 30 minutes.
